I’ve been listening to this song quite a lot recently and I truly feel the words best describe how I have felt at one period in my life. As I am sure it has with many other people as the musician wouldn’t have written it otherwise.
Sometime’s we want to escape from our self’s and in the hope someone else can help take the emptiness away that some of us have deep inside. Thanks for this great and meaningful song guy’s.
Lyrics “Dead Skin” – Crossfade
So I’m the king of all these things
of this mess I have made
Such a waste what a shame
my whole life is a fake
Well I’m a bore and I’m sure
I’m a thorn inside of you
that has torn at you for years
The alcohol the demerol
these things never could replace
What a minute with you could do
to put a smile on my face
I’m a bore and I’m sure
I’m a thorn inside of you
that has torn at me for years
[Chorus]
I can’t get out of this dead skin
I can’t she’d my skin
I’m not sure where to begin
why can’t I begin again
I can’t get under my dead skin
I can’t she’d my skin
Can I sleep ’til then
Phenobarbital and alcohol
these two surely will do
To knock me out keep me down
at least a day or two
When I’m awake I can taste
how bitter I’ve become
And it’s more than I can bear
Someday’s I pray
someone will blow me away
Make it quick but let it burn
so I can feel my life fade
Well I’m a waste and I can taste how bitter
I’ve become and it’s more than I can bear
[Chorus]
I can’t get out of this dead skin
I can’t she’d my skin
Not sure where to begin
Why can’t I begin again
I can’t get under my dead skin
I can’t she’d my skin
Can I sleep till then
Whisper: I can’t she’d my skin, I can’t she’d my skin
(guitar solo)
[Chorus]
I can’t get out of this dead skin
Not sure where to begin
I can’t get under my dead skin
Can I sleep till then
I can’t get out of this dead skin
I can’t she’d my skin
I’m not sure where to begin
Why can’t I begin again
I can’t get under my dead skin
I can’t she’d my skin
Can I sleep till then

As a CIW candidate I finally booked my Certified Internet Webmaster Site Designer (1D0-520) exam. The previous night I had some serious hours of book cramming and thought I better get an early night in order to wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed for the exam the next morning.
I sat the second exam at the New Horizons Computer Learning Centre located in Edinburgh, Canonmills, which is a Prometric Testing Centre. I passed the Site Designer exam with 100% on the test and am now a qualified CIW Professional.

The training material for the second exam on the CIW Designer Certification Series consisted of two rather thick books all related to the curriculum Design Methodology and Technology covering the following topics:
Web Site Development Essentials
- site development process
- customer expectations
- ethical and legal issues in Web development
Web Design Elements
- aesthetics
- site user’s experience
- navigation
- usability
- accessibility
Basic Web Technologies
- HTML
- XHTML
- extended technologies
- image files
- GUI site development applications
- site publishing and maintenance
Advanced Web Technologies
- multimedia and plug-in technologies
- client-side
- server-side technologies
- web databases
What next then CIW E-Commerce Designer exam (1D0-525) perhaps? Well if I can get hold of the E-Commerce Designer self-study kit, which is only one exam away from possessing a Master CIW Designer Certification. Then I could add this to my curriculum vitae as further progress of my skills as learning continues…

As a previous owner of the 5th generation iPod White Video I just had to upgrade to the new Apple iPod Touch 32GB version. Alright this is the (1st Generation) iPod Touch model but I am still very happy with it. With its sleek new design and touch screen UI being a gadget lover I just had to get one to replace my older model.
It’s not the Apple iPhone, which ideally would have been better in my opinion to have but a little costly considering O2 are currently the only available network in the UK to support it and you have to take it under a yearly contract so that put me off.

This holds up to 7,000 songs, 40 hours of video playback, 25,000 photos. Also comes pre-installed software applications such as e-mail, contacts, Google maps, weather, stocks and notes. You can also download other widgets from the Apple iTunes Store to add to your display.
The device has built-in 802.11b/g Wi-Fi wireless access to the web using its own web browser by Apple (Safari) for accessing YouTube Videos, iTunes Store & surfing the Internet from anywhere that has a Wi-Fi hotspot. Plays video in MPEG-4 and QuickTime formats as well as Flash. Has a built in Lithium-ion rechargeable battery that provides up to 22 hours music playback. Device comes with a USB 2.0 cable, a plastic itouch stand, the universal dock adapter and polishing cloth including the official iPod white headphones.
The screen is a 3.5-inch display, which you can flick through your music albums even view the lyrics. The multi-touch screen technology works superbly but realise you cannot use a stylus or with gloves on not sure how its intelligence is to sense that but its extremely clever. You can rotate to landscape and portrait format by just turning the device on its side. Using your index finger and thumb to pinch allows you to zoom in and out when viewing the web or photos.
I would suggest if you are thinking about getting one yourself get the iPod Touch (2nd Generation) as it has a lot better new features even a built-in speaker lets you hear music and dialogue without headphones. Gives the added benefit of some of the newer widgets on the market that only you could previously use with the Apple iPhone. Even better if you can afford to get the iPhone then that would give you much greater choices and features, only one note to take if you are thinking of buying an iPhone its battery power will diminish quicker if used for both MP3 playback and Phone calls.
A free widget called Fring that you can install allows you to access Instant Messenger contacts on your iTouch, given the 2nd gen you may be possible to use voice but I cannot be to sure on that one. Still I prefer Apple’s quality products for MP3 players than any other on the market but that’s a personal preference.
Enjoy if you do get one happy finger tapping
