Mozilla Firefox 3.0.1 Security Update

Mozilla Corporation’s famous web browser Firefox has just recently released their first security update for Firefox 3.  Bringing the browser up too version 3.0.1 as the newest and most stable release, fixing some security flaws and bugs.

Users would be highly encouraged updating too the latest security release for safe and happy browsing. Upgrade your Mozilla Firefox 3.0.1, which is now available for download free from the official Mozilla website.

Microsoft Update (KB951748) & ZoneAlarm

Those users who have recently installed the Windows update that are using Zone Alarm or Zone Alarm Security Suite, you will probably be already aware your internet connection has just died with sad regret!

Why is this you’re asking?  I discovered Microsoft’s new Security Update for Windows XP (KB951748) is rendering incompatible with Zone Alarm, therefore making users have loss of internet connection.

As a result ISP’s and Microsoft are inundated with calls over their loss of internet connection.  Zone Alarm report’s that they are investigating the problem and either uninstall the recent MS update till they can get it fixed: Zone Alarm Forum.

This however will cause security risks with the computer as well, so another option is to set your Internet Zone Security slider from High to Medium.  Both options are a risk of security however it will at least get your connection back working for the time being, until Zone Alarm can resolve this issue.  Good Luck!
